analysis of front cover 2

The front page i will be analysing is of NME. This front ocver has got presentational devices such as the mast head, sell additional lines, main image, barcode, name of magazine and coverlines.
The main title "the gossip" is referring to the focused band on the front cover. It is written in large white font which connotates thier success and to grasp audiences attention. It could also be an acronyn due to magazines usually known for gossip and thier name band also suggests thier gossip that they have.
The main image is of the band with the female placed in the middle. This composition of these band members with the female dominating the page connotes that shes the main member of the band and that its unstereotypical for women to follow rock. The men at the sides of her could  reinforce the idea of protection of the female placed in the middle and theyre giving the woman a path or an honour of being in the rock and roll life style.
